Arboriculture Operative, Grade E
Environment & Fleet Management within the Housing, Environment & Healthy Communities Group, provides a range of complementary services to help keep the environment in which people live, work and spend their spare time in a clean, safe and attractive condition.
The service encompasses strategic, operational management & development of Parks, Open Space & Countryside sites. Volunteer support, maintenance and management of fixed play. Dog Warden Service, Fly Tipping, Graffiti removal, Pest Control & Allotment Services
About the role….
You will undertake a key role in the Technical Services team as an Arboriculture Operative. You will be responsible for maintaining and making trees safe across the Gateshead Borough.

You must have…
- Knowledge of safe working practices
- Knowledge of tree maintenance and the different species of trees
- Experience of carrying out tree maintenance works
- Experience of team working
- A full UK driving Licence
- A level 2 qualification in Forestry and Arboriculture
