Oxley Apprenticeships
At Oxley we recruit apprentices to grow our future talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. As an Oxley apprentice you will undertake on the job training at the same time as studying to achieve a nationally recognised qualification, you’ll receive a competitive salary and benefits, including the Oxley four day week working pattern.
Successful candidates joining Oxley in September 2023 will be part of a cohort of five
Engineering Apprentices and one Business Apprentice who will work together as a team.
Roles will be Advanced Apprenticeships (Level 3), suitable for post GCSE applicants.
Engineering Apprenticeships
Our Engineering apprenticeships cover a variety of disciplines, successful candidates will be offered a role in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or CNC machining. Engineering apprentices typically spend some time at college and the remainder working ‘hands on’ onsite in a production environment. This is typically a three year apprenticeship (dependent on the chosen pathway).
Business apprentices would typically be office based within a team such as Finance, Project Management,
Sales & Marketing or HR. The Oxley apprenticeship is blended learning onsite and in college and typically takes two years to complete.
Oxley delivers a full turnkey solution from the Ulverston site, this presents lots of opportunities for progression and personal development within the organisation, a
Business Apprenticeship is a great introduction to the company and a route to building a career.
All Engineering apprentices will study Health & Safety, planning & procedures, general engineering principles, materials, diagnostic techniques to overcome problems and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
We’re keen to hear from candidates who want to develop their career at Oxley and an Engineering Apprenticeship is just the first step, Oxley apprentices may move into more technical roles as their experience develops or continue their study to degree level. Our pathway enables candidates to complete a degree without debt and with the additional benefit of 3-6 years of professional experience.
Business Apprenticeships
Our Business Admin Apprenticeship provides theoretical learning balanced with practical experience gained through working with experienced professionals. During a Business Apprenticeship you will learn the skills needed to ensure a business like Oxley runs efficiently and profitably.
