In March 2022, Greater Manchester Police launched its first internal apprenticeship scheme where we will now deliver both the on the job and off the job training required for the qualification. This first apprenticeship to be launched was the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner scheme and we are now in the process of standing up our second apprenticeship standard which is the Business Administration. This is being launched March 2023. This is an exciting time for GMP and we are looking forward to growing the internal apprenticeship provision offering alternative apprenticeship standards.
As a result, we are delighted to be able to offer two apprenticeship posts within our People and Development Branch. If you successfully apply for the role, your overall aim will be to work with our existing apprenticeship team to deliver high quality training, support new staff as they settle into our organisation and guide and support apprentices through their apprenticeship journey.
Specifically you will:
- Deliver the required off the job training for apprentices and support them through their apprenticeship programme
- Work with the apprenticeship team to ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment are established and maintained.
- Maintain detailed Learner records and ensure they meet all regulatory standards and take ownership for the delivery and assessment of learner portfolios
To be considered for the role you will need to:
- Have significant experience of working in a Business Administration focussed environment or possess a level 3 qualification in this sector area
- Have experience of coaching and mentoring staff in the workplace and be prepared to complete additional training if required
- Be comfortable delivering training materials, presentations or representing the organisation in a wide range of scenarios.
- Be prepared to work from any GMP location depending on the needs of the training scheme.
- Be willing to complete and pass a DBS check to comply with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requirements for Apprenticeship Trainers
You'll find full details of the role, including the Essential and Desirable selection criteria in the attached Job Description.
