An opportunity for a person with ambitions of a career in law to develop within an established Leeds Law Practice. Fantastic opportunity to learn and earn at the same time! General duties include making and receiving telephone calls, preparing precise attendance notes, and filing, etc.

THE LAW PRACTICE
- Boutique law firm that specialises in Sport, Media and Business Law in England and Wales.
THE POSITION
1-answering the phone in a polite and prompt manner.
2-checking the post which usually arrives around lunchtime although there are only usually a few items.
3-scanning in to our system any post or any other key documents.
4-photocopying and general office duties.
5-assisting fee earners with court bundles.
6-preparing invoices and other items to support the fee earning staff including posting onto our case management system.
7-posting and dealing with our Osprey case management system.
8-archiving files which is usually dealt with electronically but sometimes dealing with attending our archive off-site property.
9-providing general support which usually requires matters to be dealt with speedily and efficiently.
10-sometimes acting as personal assistant to the fee earners and dealing with general office enquiries and having to deal with our suppliers such as the copy company, IT department and our external compliance support team.
IMPORTANT
- The individual needs to be highly disciplined, smart in appearance, reliable and timekeeping must be of the highest standard.

Desired skills
- 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

You will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
