Lovells (Peterborough) Ltd, Fengate, Peterborough is recruiting fifteen people to join the Lovells Academy

Our business operates as Lovells Auto Body Centre (Peterborough), Pronto Accident Repair Centres in Norwich, Boston King's Lynn, Bourne, Peterborough, Grantham, Nottingham, and Huntingdon, we also own and operate two Fix Auto Franchises, Fix Auto Norwich & Fix Auto Spalding.

As we are today, we employ over 260 Staff, we are constantly recruiting Apprentices and Academy Members, to fulfill the needs of our growing and evolving business, searching for the stars of the future like the people in the pictures below, the stars of tomorrow we are trying to identify them today!

We are especially interested in meeting those of you who are in School 6th form or College maybe in the 1st year and not feeling the love for it.

Those of you who are leaving in 2023 and have no desire to continue in Education

We are also keen to catch up with those of you who are looking to drop out of College or University at Christmas.

This shows Kevin from KECO, working with Jason on the left and Andrew on the right both Panel Beating Apprentices with a former apprentice Lawrence in the middle of them, the image shows them learning new and innovative methods of dent removal using the Keco Glue Pulling System, Lawrence has been working with us as a Panel Beater since 2016 passing an NVQ3 and an IMI Senior Panel ATA, more recently traveling for specific Manufacturer training at the Tesla Body Repair School in Tilburg Holland and passing the very difficult I-Car Welding Qualification required to be certified to weld structural Aluminium panels.

Think of the technology contained within a new car, you will be astounded how this crosses over into accident repair, self-driving cars, lane assist, auto control, cruise control, the electronic driver aids are outstanding, those who strip and refit the vehicles during the process are using onboard technology, computer interfaces and lots of other smart electronic tech.

Paint spraying and colour matching using some outstanding photographic computerised colour matching technology is used on every job and mixing the formulation requires accuracy and consistency

Damage Repair, we have teams that specialise in all kinds of technology, glue pulling, aluminum dent repair, steel repairs, bonding and riveting, and many other different styles of repair techniques that involve a range of composite materials contained within the vehicle construction.

As a member of our academy team, you will be trained coached, and mentored to ensure you are able to achieve a fast track to being a productive academy member, in the future, you will be coached and mentored to achieve some of the most highly regarded qualifications in the industry.

Once you have passed the initial trial period you will be enrolled in a formal Academy Training and Development Program through our own in-house training academy.

We are recruiting fifteen people to join our academy we are recruiting people who all have an outstanding attitude, people who are motivated to be part of a team, and people who are excited to have a carer with future progression opportunities.

It is not important that you may not have any previous knowledge or experience in the vehicle accident repair industry.

Picture Below: Showing Leandro working at his desk, Leandro started with us as a Paintshop Apprentice in 2016, after two years he was spotted by our internal recruitment development team, we then worked with him progressing him into our Engineering Administration Team based in our Head Office, that was in 2019, Leandro now 24 has since progressed further and is now a fully-fledged Vehicle Damage Assessor & Auditor, working within a team of five he is reviewing accident damage estimates from across our business working in a methodical and professional manner to ensure we are doing the right work for the right price.

It is not essential though advantageous that you hold a Full UK Driver's License, or at least you are an advanced learner waiting or ready for your test.

You will need to be a person who can get to work on time in the morning, a person who is reliable and dependable, honest open, and trustworthy, (if you have a criminal record we cannot employ you as our team members have to pass CRB Checks.

We are looking for you to be a motivated person who looking for a career opportunity, you may be at college or 6th form and feel you are wasting your time if so drop us a reply and get yourself enrolled in one of our upcoming Recruitment Workshops.

Our Management team has an excellent track record in developing our apprentices and academy members turning them in to Industry Professionals, you do need to put the effort in as the team wants to see you engaged and motivated.

May 2022 Damian who manages Pronto Accident Repair Centre (Grantham) was awarded Bodyshop of the Year for Innovation Insurance Group the award was presented by Alex Jones, Damian, who is stood next to Farkhan Yousaf to his right our Regional Accident Repair Centre manager, Farkhan joined our business 20 years ago as a workshop apprentice and has progressed working in almost every department within our business as it has grown from one branch in Peterborough employing 22 people to where we are today 11 branches employing 260 staff, to the right of Farkhan is Jordan Chinn the Innovation Network Manager.

After winning the Award in Manchester Damian at just 22 was then recognised in the Automotive Industry 30 under 30 rising stars of the accident repair industry Damian 22 started with us at Pronto Peterborough at 16 years old as an Admin & Customer Service Apprentice, he has progressed through our business and now manages his own branch and a team of sixteen people.

Dan second from the right, at just 22 has been a very successful Accounts Apprentice now fully qualified the was supported by Anglia Professional Training to achieve at every stage from Foundation through to his Level 4 Senior AAT Qualification, Dan has worked in our head office accounts team since August 2016 after leaving school at 16 years old in July 2016, Dan did not see his future in Education and choosing to join us as an apprentice accountant.

Today he works with our Chief Accountant along with our Company Directors and the Senior Management Team, he is crunching the numbers, developing complicated reports, and delivering performance presentations to our Management Team, he is also heavily involved in payroll preparation, Dan, really is on a journey, his dedication, training, attitude to work and the team, along with his willingness to learn will undoubtedly take him to the top of his career in double quick time.
