Job description

Central Learning Partnership Trust are looking for an Apprentice Web Developer to join our team to maintain and develop bespoke systems for use in the Trust and updating school websites and SharePoint sites as required.

Duties include:

  • Liaise with the Head of IT, Web Dev team and Graphic Designers regarding all existing web-based systems and new developments
  • Advising and suggesting ideas for new functionality and new developments in the Trust’s online portfolio
  • Develop and maintain new and innovative web-based systems and tools to further collaboration and/or engagement between staff and/or students across the Trust
  • Preparing a design plan, showing the site structure and how the different parts link together
  • Testing and improving the design and sites through to project completion.
  • Maintaining websites and mobile sites and applications, ensuring links work and content is always current and up to date
  • Updating and administering social media accounts to ensure the latest information is available and to help promote Trust schools
  • Use search engine optimisation techniques to ensure all Trust websites have been optimised to attract and engage their target audience
  • Monitor analytics for all Trust websites to better understand user behaviour and to allow the optimisation of web content to improve online experience
  • Create and maintain SharePoint areas for Trust schools, facilitating collaborative working within schools and across the Trust

Personal Requirements:

A strong interest in Web Development, and a flair for design would be an advantage.

Requirements and prospects:

Willing and able to complete all learning and assessment requirements of the relevant framework. Punctual, organised, friendly with a positive attitude, and with a good attention to detail.

Desired qualifications:

GCSE Grade C or above (4 and above) in English and Maths or equivalent.

Future prospects

There will be the possibility of a full time post as a Web Developer upon completion of the Apprenticeship.

Things to consider

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS (CRB) check.

Salary £10,000.00
