Job description
We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to work as an Apprentice Warehouse Operative for a company based in Washington. The role will include processing stock and customer orders throughout the distribution centre. Working in teams or as an individual carrying out various warehouse functions. Ensuring PD meet site objectives in line with customer requirements.
Duties include:
- Receive, check, and store stock and non-stock items using a computerised stock locate system
- Break bulk and replenish pick zones in line with production timelines
- Maintain stock quality and quantity
- Assemble customer orders in line with production timetables and to customer specification
- Despatch customer orders in line with production timetables and to customer specification
- Complete all associated paperwork and maintain records as necessary
- Be able to communicate at all levels
- Promote environmental processes as well as health and safety of all employees and visitors
About you:
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Acceptable level of physical fitness
- Demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard of accuracy
- Demonstrate the ability to work competently as an individual or as part of a team
- Able to stand or work during significant durations with the ability to lift and carry boxes
- Operatives may be required to work in any area of the distribution centre as workload and production timetables dictate and in line with prevailing knowledge and experience
During this apprenticeship you will complete the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship. You will be support by Optimum Skills for the training throughout the apprenticeship.
