Job details Salary £22,816 - £24,336 a year (band 3) Apprenticeship Full Job Description A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Engineering Team in an apprenticeship role, where you will undertake training to develop the skills to become a Clinical Engineer. As an apprentice, you will be working towards achieving the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to fulfil the role. The level 4 apprenticeship lasts a minimum of 24 months and will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to learn fundamental techniques to fault find, service and maintain medical devices. This role provides a foundation on which you can progress and pursue a successful career within Clinical Engineering. We are looking for key skills and amplitude in an individual with preferably a level 3 in Electronics To perform technical inspections including function testing and electrical safety tests on a wide range of medical devices throughout Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust and other external customers of the Clinical Engineering Department. This work will also include some calibration checks, preventative maintenance and database verification and will be carried out under the guidance of the medical engineering manager and senior engineers. Working mainly at our Dorchester site with occasional trips to Weymouth and surrounding areas may be required as the department expands.
