The duties are varied and no two days are the same. The people we support are individuals and deserve to be treated as such. However as a general guide duties may include support with personal care such as bathing and domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning as well as support with leisure activities. Most importantly we want you to make a difference to peoples lives.
The Specialised Supported Living Service supports adults in sixteen locations across Leeds. There are apprentice opportunities across Leeds. Terms and conditions apply. (To meet the requirements of the apprenticeship you need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of three years prior to starting the course).
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. To complete the Level 2 Apprenticeship normally within a 14 month period which includes all required on job training, mandatory training, technical and study skills/qualifications.
To provide clinical interventions as directed by service user plans of care to people within the care of the ward team. Apprentices will also provide general support duties to ensure the safe running of the ward. The post holder will offer support on a rotational shift basis including weekends or nights and other unsocial hours. The support offered includes providing personal care, psychological & emotional support, healthy living options, developing social and leisure interests, maintaining health, accessing community facilities, and supporting service users to maintain their overall wellbeing through targeted interventions as per their plan of care.
