If this is you read on as LivePay a payroll services business based in Mansfield Nottinghamshire is looking for an Apprentice Software Developer to join their growing team!
Duties and Responsibilities
Most of our client base access our services by a web portal that is using an ASP.net front end supported by web services within the core software. It is this new customer interface that most development will occur but the client/server base also represents a major part of the development team’s workload.
Supporting the customer front end is the core software platform which is a client/server application providing payroll processing functionality to our service team. This also needs to be maintained to be compliant with new legislation and is continually being amended to provide efficiencies in operation. This uses one of the World’s leading development platforms for modern systems.
The primary function of this role is to develop and enhance the customer interface and expand its capabilities, but there will also be an involvement in supporting the back-end system.
We are looking for someone to take our existing project and bring in ideas to develop and keep the platform up to date with the latest technological capabilities working alongside our core developer and experienced payroll professionals.
Training
- Knowledge Module 1: Software Development Context and Methodologies (for level 3 Software Development Technician)
- Knowledge Module 2: Programming (for level 3 Software Development Technician)
Professional Recognition
This apprenticeship is recognised for entry onto the Register of IT Technicians upon confirming an appropriate SFIA level 3.Professional competence and those completing the apprenticeship would then be eligible to apply for registration.
Career Progression
