Job description
BOOM Construction are looking for a polite and conscientious apprentice Site Manager to join our fast-growing, young and exciting company based in St Albans, covering London and the Southeast of England. We undertake projects between £2,000,000 to £10,000,000 in value within the residential, offices, schools, and health sectors.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Liaising with sub Contractors and reporting on progress.
- Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors.
- Buying materials for each phase of the project.
- Conducting quality and safety inspections.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Maintaining quality control checks.
- Motivating the workforce.
- Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Using specialist project management computer programmes.
- Working on-site in all weathers, at clients’ businesses or in a site office.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Construction site management (degree) (level 6)
- South Bank University or Angela Ruskin University
- One day release to universtiy along with support & training on site.

Working week
Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 16:30 One day release to university
