Every project needs to be managed to ensure its success. An apprentice Project Engineer will work closely with the project delivery team and will know what needs to be achieved, how it will be achieved, how long it will take and how much it will cost and works with the project team to achieve the required outcomes. Apprentice Project Engineer’s need good planning, organisation, leadership, management, and communication skills. An apprentice Project Engineer utilises resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience, and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities, and authorities.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Gain experience in the technology and construction methods utilised in the business.
  • Support the PM in the management of subcontractors/supplier’s packages through delivery up to handover in accordance with the project programme.
  • Travel to site, the customer premises, and supplier premises as instructed by the PM.
  • Prepare Monthly Progress Reports on the assigned work packages for internal and external reporting
  • Liaison with site personnel and commissioning engineers on the allocated work package.
  • Contribute to business success and satisfaction of the customer
  • Communicate all matters requiring attention in a timely manner.

What You Bring

  • Grade 5 or above in at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths, English and Science
  • Enthusiasm for a career in Project Management
  • Enjoyment of working within a team environment.
  • It would be beneficial, although not essential, for applicants to have some relevant industrial experience e.g. summer placements.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Must be a confident communicator and proactive problem solver.
