What you can expect:

As a qualified Plumber here at Novus, your role would typically be working alongside a team of trade colleagues undertaking reactive maintenance works in customers homes, across the region and the skills you would learn throughout your apprenticeship would include;.

• Plumbing Systems Understand selection, planning, installation, testing, commissioning and decommissioning, maintenance, repair and fault diagnosis techniques on cold & hot water, central heating and above ground drainage and rainwater systems
• Electrical Components & Control Understand instillation and testing techniques on plumbing appliances
• Tools To use and maintain hand and power tools to achieve optimum performance, appropriate to the project, ensuring to store safely
• Health & Safety To learn the principles of health, safety and welfare and how these are applied in the workplace
• Team work - The role will give the skills and abilities to not only be part of a team but to play an active role within a busy team.
• Stakeholder Management Developing and maintaining relationships with Managers, Colleagues and Customers

About you;

Ideally, you will have a GCSE in Maths and English (Grades A* to C/4-9), however, more importantly, you will have a passion for learning, a desire to work in a practical hands-on role, a great work ethic and a real can-do approach to everything you do. If you are already qualified, or studying towards a level 2 in Plumbing you wouldnt be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as you already have the knowledge our Apprenticeship program is designed to provide.
