The Training:
As a painting and decorating apprentice, you’ll be learning from your team of expert colleagues, attending college training, and getting the chance to practice what you have learned on the job. You’ll also get to spend time in our bespoke Training Academy under the guidance of expert tutors whose purpose will be to give you all the tools required to for you to excel in your new career.
Pay (as of 31.05.2023):
- Year 1 - £239.07 per week (£1.32 more per week than the minimum apprentice wage!)
Year 2 - £285.48 per week, or the National Minimum Wage for your age.
Year 3 - £330.06 - £425.88 per week dependant on your college progress
Fully qualified & following completion of all Academy, college, and on-site training - £531.96 per week
(£27,661.92 per annum before bonus)
Kit and Equipment:
Here at Bagnalls we believe along with the best training you also need the best quality kit and equipment. That is why all our Apprentices and staff receive everything they will need to become masters in their craft free of charge.
This includes:
- A fully stocked tool bag on day 1 of your Painting and Decorating apprenticeship.
- Branded workwear including T-Shirts and overalls.
- Personal protective equipment including safety boots and hard hat.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum level 4 in GCSE Maths and English
