Apprentice Manufacturing Engineer – Level 4

Role Overview
BAE Systems Digital Intelligence produces state-of-the-art electronic products which are critical for the safety of our society and the protection of industry in the UK and across the globe. A rigorous production framework underpins these products, ensuring that deliveries to our customers are of consistently high quality, and are resilient throughout their service life.
You will join our Manufacturing Engineering team, which provides the electronics production capability that underpins much of our cyber security business. You will work hands-on with a wide variety of electronic products, spanning a wide spectrum of capability such as high-speed (>100Gbps) digital network processing and high frequency (>10GHz) RF radio transceivers. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will ‘Engineer the process’ and gain experience of the full product lifecycle including prototyping, new product introduction (NPI/NPD), full high-rate production, customer deployment and support.
This is a technical and hands-on role. You will work directly with hardware products that protect and maintain the security of the UK and its allies.

Who are we looking for?
To apply for the Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme, you’ll require the following:
A minimum of 96 UCAS points gained A-Level qualifications or equivalent (Eg. BTEC)
5 GCSEs at grade A*-C / Level 4-9, including Mathematics, English and ICT.
Relevant prior experience may also be considered as an alternative to the above qualifications.
