Apprentice Joiner
Location- Wrexham - LL13 9AE – working in and around Shropshire and North Wales
Our Joinery Apprenticeship programme provides you with the skills and personal development you need in an environment where you can thrive and achieve your potential, following a learning & development journey that will support you over a period of time to eventually become a qualified Joiner.

- Rates of pay higher than national minimum apprenticeship - £6.13 per hour minimum

What you can expect:
As a qualified Joiner here at Novus, your role would typically be working alongside a team of trade colleagues undertaking refurbishment works in customers’ homes, which may include external Window and door refurbishment and void property programs across the region and the skills you would learn throughout your apprenticeship would include;.
- Identify – Joinery requirements and components against specifications
- Calculate – The most efficient quantity, length and area of resources used
- Install – Doors, windows, mouldings, wall and floor units and roof gables/joists
- Quality Checks – Carry out quality checks against specification and take action to correct when required
- Tools – To use and maintain hand and power tools to achieve optimum performance, appropriate to the project, ensuring to store safely
- Maintain – Responsible for a clear and tidy workspace and waste materials to be disposed of correctly
- Health & Safety – To learn the principles of health, safety and welfare and how these are applied in the workplace
- Team work - The role will give the skills and abilities to not only be part of a team but to play an active role within a busy team.
- Stakeholder Management – Developing and maintaining relationships with Managers, Colleagues and Customers
About you;
Ideally, you will have a GCSE in Maths and English (Grades A* to C/4-9), however, more importantly, you will have a passion for learning, a desire to work in a practical hands-on role, a great work ethic and a real can-do approach to everything you do. If you are already qualified, or studying towards a level 2 in Joinery you wouldn’t be eligible to apply for this opportunity, as you already have the knowledge our Apprenticeship program is designed to provide.
