“A Test Analyst ensures the functional readiness of computer software and hardware products before they go to market. Their job is to design, develop and execute a series of tests and evaluations that identify any issues with the product before its general release”
We’ve an amazing opportunity for an Apprentice IS Test Analyst to join our Test Team to ensure Northumbrian Water continue to deliver high quality, innovative technology within our business. You’ll be playing crucial role in ensuring our business have applications which enable them to deliver excellent service to all our customers.
Within the role you will learn the required skill to support the development and release of new functionality to our business-critical applications including our customer contact and billing system, customer website and mobile apps for our field workers. Training within the role will enable you to be responsible for identifying, documenting, and executing test cases with the aim of ensuring that software changes meet the requirements of our business as well as checking that the existing processes still work as expected. The qualification related to this Apprenticeship is Level 4 Software Tester.

You will have the opportunity to work with NWL’s Product Teams and Project Teams and within the role you will gain an understanding of Agile deliveries and our application management system – Azure DevOps.
This is a 24 month apprenticeship opportunity, you will be employed by the ATA agency and not directly with Northumbrian Water.
About you
As we will provide you with comprehensive training to support you to deliver the duties outlined above, previous experience in testing is not a necessity. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who has a willingness and desire to succeed in a role crucial to the success of software development. We’d love to hear from you if you have an eye for detail, strong analytical skills and are able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
