Delivers an administrative service to ensure NHS Lothian R&D management approval of Category A & B research study amendments progresses for 95% of projects within 35 calendar days, and processing of Category C amendments, in accordance with national and local processes.
Track the progression, review and approval of all research studies submitted to R&D, maintaining lines of communication between stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of study/amendment review.
Act as the lead contact and information point within NHS Lothian for researchers in obtaining Honorary Research Contracts (HRC) or Letters of Access (LoA), and work with colleagues in Human Resources (HR) to ensure the contracts are in place.
