About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for two people to join the University of Oxford as Apprentice Internship Office Assistants at the Careers Service.
The Internship Office Assistants will play a pivotal role in helping administer two dynamic internship programmes which are designed to help students gain skills and professional experiences while at university. One programme is the Summer Internship Programme which offers funded summer internships all over the world. The other is the Micro-Internship Programme which facilitates short term voluntary experiences at the end of each term.
About the apprenticeship
As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Abingdon & Witney College, where you will complete a Business Administrator L3 Apprenticeship which is within the Business and Administration sector. For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Careers Service (56 Banbury Rd Oxford OX12 6PA). As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend Abingdon and Witney College.
In total, it will take 2 years to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and College throughout.

About you
You will be passionate about starting your career in the Higher Education sector and excited about the opportunity of becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford. You may be starting your career or you may be looking for a career change.
To complete the Level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4 or A*-C in GCSE Maths and English. Please note - Abingdon and Witney College require apprentice applicants to undertake initial assessments in English and maths as part of the screening process, regardless of prior qualifications.
There are also government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding which the Training Provider will be able to advise on.
