Job description
Apprentices will work alongside qualified electricians completing a large variety of work across commercial properties such as :
- Test & Inspect;
- Fault Finding;
- Installation & Decommissioning;
- Electrical Isolation.
The team you’ll be working with have an exceptional breadth of experience to learn from and day to day you’ll get the opportunity to spend time working with all of them as well as being part of larger projects and installation jobs.
Training will be day release to GFM Education at the Whiteley site Fareham on City and Guilds Electrotech qualification (5357) level 3 apprenticeship, includes AM2 and 18th Edition.
Included in-house training on top of the apprenticeship:
- Staff induction for a whole day which includes H&S training in working at height and asbestos awareness.
- Ongoing training and CPD in electrical isolation. We also have training bays where we perform skills tests.
*It’s important that you’re able to commute in and around the Portsmouth area, as you will be required to make your way to the Engineers house in the morning for a 7am start.*
Selected candidates acceptance onto an Apprenticeship is subject to successful completion of the Basic Skills (initial) Assessment in both Literacy and Numeracy. Candidates will only be signed up/enrolled onto programme once they have completed the Apprenticeship Induction Session.
