An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 apprentices to join our busy neurophysiology team on a 3 year fixed term contract. We are a large trust with Neurophysiology Departments situated across 4 hospital sites within Manchester. We carry out specialised clinical investigations of the central and peripheral nervous system. The successful candidates will attend Manchester Metropolitan University part time (day release) to study for a healthcare science practitioner degree apprenticeship with specialism in Neurophysiology BSc whilst learning clinical skills in a hospital environment.

Whilst studying for the Neurophysiology degree you will be placed within a Neurophysiology Department (any of the 4 Sites) and will be expected to rotate between any of these sites at any time.
A team of Physiologists will support your training whilst in a clinical setting and you will be allocated a Mentor/work based assessor (WBA) to offer support during your training period. You will learn how to carry out neurophysiological investigations (e.g. EEG's on adults and children) to a very high standard whilst adhering to local protocols and health and safety guidelines.
You will be expected to participate in the day to day running of the department and Navigate the hospitals record system to provide technical reports.
