Due to the continued success and expansion of the business we are looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our team.

The Apprentice Electrician will be expected to assist in the delivery of a best in class service of electrical services to our clients. Your primary role will be working within your competency level while you learn both at college and through the experience you gain within the workplace. You will be supported in this role by Mentors on jobs and in the GRAHAM Academy to ensure you are maximising on your learning, for the benefit of your future career at GRAHAM.

Location: Swansea
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent/ Full-Time, including college attendance
Through on the job training, mentoring and attendance at training college, the candidate will develop knowledge and gain experience in the following:
  • Health & Safety
  • IET Wiring Regulations
  • Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Building Regulations
  • Understanding installation drawings & schematic diagrams
  • Installation of cable containment & wiring systems
  • LV Power Distribution
  • Final circuit wiring
  • Fire, Security & Data installations
  • Installation of wiring accessories, fixtures & fittings
  • Inspection & Testing
  • Fault Finding
  • Safe Isolation
  • Document control
  • Knowledge of HV/MV installations
  • Planning, programming & coordination of services
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • You must be enrolled with a college before an offer of apprenticeship can be made
  • GCSE or equivalent in Math and English (A-C)
  • Color Vision

Desirable Criteria

  • Drivers License
  • NVQ Level 2
