Apprentice Electrician
Core Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Overtime available
Qualifications and Attributes
Attitude is everything in an apprentice. We can offer the opportunity, environment and support for you to learn the practical things that you need to know to be an electrician. However, we need you to be eager to learn and have a strong desire to develop into a highly competent, reliable and trustworthy electrician.

Qualifications
We will consider apprentices at every level.
It is desirable that applicants have completed the pre app course, however for the right candidate we would negotiate a route to supporting them through the pre app.
Schedule for availability of courses in our area (places may come up sooner subject to cancellations):
- Pre-App: September 2023/January 2024
- Full apprenticeship: September 2024
If we employ you prior to a formal apprenticeship, we will pay you national minimum wage to work alongside us until your official training begins, this will give you the opportunity to get to know the team, our way of working and gain practical experience.
Full Job Description
You will be joining a close-knit team of hard-working electricians. We pride ourselves on our customer care, reliability and trust worthiness. This is a good opportunity for career development as our business is growing and we support and encourage our staff to grow with it.
We are a small team and every members contribution is essential and valued. Although you will be in training, we will expect you to fully contribute your skills to every situation, to actively find ways to contribute and if in doubt, ask what you can do to help.
This is a varied role with most of our work split between domestic and commercial work in Glasgow and Edinburgh with some opportunities to travel further afield occasionally.
You will learn about, domestic fault finding, rewires, EICR’s and general electrical repairs. We are not limited to this type of work, we also install E.V. chargers, Solar PV and battery storage. We are open to all sorts of different contracting work and this keeps our work varied and interesting.
There is ample opportunity for overtime and at times we do ask staff to help us get jobs over the line. However, all the employees have families so we aim to provide a good work life balance for employees and are respectful of employees time.
