TriConnex work with top housebuilders to connect the multi-utility infrastructure to residential projects, focusing on electric, gas, water, fibre and EV charging. As part of your role as an Apprentice Electrical Design Technician, you will work in a hands-on role, learning our processes, facing challenges and driving results - all whilst learning and developing as an individual.
You will be enrolled on a Level 4 Power Networks Engineering Apprenticeship, which you will complete over a two and a half year timeframe. You’ll work from our head office in Essex, but as part of your Apprenticeship, you will attend regular college sessions and workshops.
Throughout your Apprenticeship you’ll work to a structured development programme, continuously growing with opportunities to showcase your contributions in delivering company objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
As part of your Apprenticeship, you’ll work closely with an experienced mentor there to guide and support you. Your line manager will also be there to ensure you reach your full potential.

- Electrical Power Engineering;
- Project Planning and Design;
- Problem Solving.
As an Apprentice Electrical Design Technician, you will:
- Gain a solid understanding of our processes, developing your electrical engineering skills whilst supporting the team to deliver results;
- Focus on applying theory to practice, developing your interpersonal and professional skills essential to all engineers within an organisation;
- Build compelling working relationships, developing your communication skills to collaborate with customers and stakeholders;
- Develop your communication skills, both written and verbal, engaging with different parts of the organisation.

Here’s what else we need from you:
- Five GCSE qualifications (including both English and Maths) at Grade 4 (C) or above;
- Three A-Level qualifications (including a Maths / Science) at Grade C or above, or an equivalent Level 3 qualification within an engineering principle;
- An interest in construction and/or electrical engineering;
- Good IT skills, with experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
