We need to leverage our data, empowering our workforce and partners to use and treat data as an asset to drive decision making, support prioritisation and enable fast-paced delivery of products and services that benefits our customers
In addition, we need to manage our data with appropriate controls, governance, accountabilities and oversight, in order to ensure regulatory, legal and policy compliance and drive improvements in the availability and quality of data.
Along with our government approved technical training provider, you will be supported by, and work alongside, experienced Analysts to learn core analysis, modelling and data interpretation skills. To supplement your learning, you'll have the fantastic opportunity to rotate around our teams spending time supporting both business-as-usual activities and also getting involved with project team deliveries that take us closer to meeting our Digital transformation ambitions.
What you will be doing:
- You will work internally, and with wider AXA Health stakeholders, to identify how data can solve business problems and contribute to end-to-end solutions from requirements gathering, getting data and turning this into business insights.
- You will contribute to the design, creation, execution and maintenance of policies, guidance and wider solutions that help drive data led decision making and comply with relevant data legislation.
- Become familiar with data regulations and ensure data is appropriately stored and archived, in line with relevant legislation e.g. GDPR
- Develop data modelling skills to create data models in-line with business requirements across multiple transactional and analytical use cases and domains.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports in the Visualisation and Model Building Phase.
At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and our office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. For this role, you will be expected in one of our AXA Health offices for collaborative working on an ad hoc basis.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of your learning pathway, we’re unable to fulfil part-time or flexible work patterns.
Induction & Training: When you join us, you'll have 4 - 6 weeks of training, having the opportunity to meet and observe your team, attend external meetings, all whilst learning about our products and services as you go.
This apprenticeship is all about maximizing your potential. You’ll be working with Insurance professionals providing you with every opportunity to thrive. If you put in the hard work, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to further your career with AXA, as earlier apprentices have all done. This will include the chance to study for more advanced qualifications.
This position will commence in September 2023, and interviews will be carried out at the end of April/ Start of May 2023.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-C in any subject but preferably one in a numerical or computing subject (e.g., maths, Science, Computer Science etc.)
- In AXA Health, we value your potential, so we will also consider applications from those with a more diverse range of qualifications who are passionate about pursuing a career as a Software Test Engineer and committed to completing the Level 4 apprenticeship in Software Testing.
- Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.
- For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
- A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL.
All applicants must reside in England to be eligible for the Government apprenticeship funding
To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must reside or spend 50% of your working time in England, and been a resident in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.
