This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures industrial turbochargers supplied into the power generation, marine and rail traction industries

This position will undertake a range of Quality Engineer /Commercial tasks.
Training will be provided leading to a level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship qualification, with the possibility to then progress up-to a level 4 qualification in a Commercial and/or Quality related subject.
The activities within this role will cover the following:
Creating technical document packs for submission to Marine Survey Societies and also Napier quality certificates.
Creating and progressing cases related Customer Complaints and warranty claims including analysis and solution identification/ implementation.
Management of systems related to Calibration of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Supporting the commercial teams with customer correspondence including quotation and order entry.
Support supplier quality engineer with inspections and approval of supplier parts.
Systematic Problem Solving
Use of Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques
Qualifications: 4 x GCSE minimum grade ‘4’ or equivalent (preferably to include Maths and a Science subject)
Experience: No previous experience required & training provided
Skills:
Self-motivated individual with enthusiastic approach
Ability to learn new concepts in short space of time
High level of IT literacy
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Ability to work in a team environment
Punctual and reliable
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 48 months
Salary: From £12,612.41 per year
