Job Description

We are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic Building Information Management (BIM) apprentices to join our team in Swindon. Successful candidates will work on a variety of projects from concept design to implementation for clients who operate either locally, nationally, or internationally. Those selected will have to be focused on delivery of results to our clients whilst finding enjoyment in technically challenging projects. If you have an ability to think constructively in the 3D (3 Dimensional) environment, to be conversant with other people regarding model making, woodworking, metalwork, or computer gaming then your skills will be valued and appreciated within our team.

As leaders in the sector, our BIM teams provide wide challenging opportunities in an ever-evolving industry. Our undisputable global position could give you the chance to undertake critical work supporting major rail projects. With both international and domestic clients, we are committed to providing quality, innovative and sustainable solutions using the latest technology in civil & structural engineering whilst taking advantage of our integrated range of services by collaborating with other disciplines within AECOM. Excellence, agility, perseverance, communication, forward-thinking and global awareness are some of the skills that our daily work demands from our teams to maintain and enhance our relationship with our clients and stakeholders as competition in the market grows harder.

Apprentice BIM Technicians are going to be the future CAD and Information Management specialists in the UK rail industry. Apprentices will be supported with their continued professional development (CPD), learning through education, and given the opportunity to shadow and learn from industry leaders. • Working towards Advanced Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 in civil / electrical engineering
  • Working towards achieving Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent professional body
