Here’s a fantastic opportunity for you to join our highly experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) team as an Apprentice BIM Technician.
You will learn how to design sustainable buildings of all shapes, sizes and uses; from hospitals to homes, from data centres to offices, and so much more!
Our apprenticeship programme allows an opportunity to study for an academic qualification as well as gaining professional experience on our projects at the same time! You will be able to develop your technical skills through a variety of projects that you will take on as well as being supported in the development of your softer skills through our early careers learning and development program: ‘The Learning Curve’. We are looking to welcome an apprentice who is eager to learn and develop a career in sustainable building design.
What the role looks like
You will:
- Work with us full time
- Attend a training college for part-time study with either National College For Nuclear OR Learning Skills Partnership
- Gain a Level 3 qualification in Digital Engineering Technician.
Our lively Bristol office based next to the iconic Wapping Wharf will welcome you into our MEP team. MEP involves systems such as electrical generation, low voltage distribution, small power, lighting, data, life safety, security, ventilation, domestic water, drainage, heating and cooling. Alongside our apprentice and seniors, you will be supporting the team on the latest innovations of digital engineering to solve complex engineering challenges and design solutions. BIM Modelling allows for you to input any engineering content in any form enabling you to design and visualise buildings collaboratively using 3D models and information.
We fully fund you throughout your studies, supporting you through mentoring, as well as on-the-job training through ‘The Learning Curve’.
What you will learn with us
Understanding the fundamentals of BIM (Building Information Modelling)- Assisting others on Project Information Models
- Learning how to use authoring software (Revit)
- Learning engineering principles and design processes (basic)
- Assisting engineers with technical issues relating to the delivery of information
- Attendance/talks for CPD record
- Supporting the team on the latest innovations in digital engineering
What will you need to succeed?
5 GCSE grades 9 to 4/A* to C including English and maths.- Genuine interest in a career in building services engineering, or aspects of
- A keen attitude to learning and enthusiasm to achieve in the workplace and in your studies
- Strong numeracy skills
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal
- Enjoy learning how to use the latest digital technology.
Your pathway towards progression

After gaining a level 3 qualification, this will allow for further opportunities to work towards chartership and acquire a range of skills leading to more senior positions within our company!
