DA Languages is looking for an Apprentice Administration Assistant to join our team!

The Administration Department provides support to all areas within the business as well as acting as the first point of contact for our interpreters and clients. The role offers a great opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills within a fast-paced growing area of the business, whilst working towards your Business Administration Level 3!

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a large amount of inbound calls in a professional manner, provide advice, resolve queries and liaise with other departments
  • Ensure full communication is kept with interpreters and clients regarding their bookings when dealing with any queries.
  • Data entry, for example inputting bookings onto our booking portal.
  • Work collaboratively with the booking co-ordinators to build up a successful relationship, also helping them when their workload is high.
  • Develop good working relationships with clients' being sympathetic and understanding to their needs, whilst dealing with their queries efficiently and effectively
  • Develop good working relationships with linguists ensuring their queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist other departments when administration support is needed.
  • Work efficiently as a team to ensure all staff meet targets.
  • Troubleshooting to ensure we provide the best possible service in unexpected scenarios.
  • Assisting the Telephone Department with conference calls
  • Supporting onboarding of new clients

Decisions and Judgements

  • Evaluation of clients’ and colleagues needs by prioritising workloads during busy periods
  • Proactively communicating with your team during increased workloads
  • Answer interpreter and client queries on Interpreting Service rules and codes of practice
  • Determine if queries or complaints must be escalated to management
