As the Apprentice Account Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the accounts team in many aspects of the finance function, whilst working towards your AAT Level 3 Apprenticeship.

What will the apprentice be doing?
This is a new opportunity and the tasks will be varied and challenging and will include;
Matching supplied invoices to delivery notes
Validating supplier invoices using our goods-received software
Entering supplier invoices onto our accounts package (Opera 3)
Manage supplier database
Telephone call handling
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the accounts office
Liaising with suppliers, customers and other members of staff
Any other duties as and when required

On the job training to support job role
Off the job training (plus College attendance) to support qualification requirements
Employer to offer dedicated training time to support Off the job training requirements

Things to consider
Part of qualification will require regular college attendance - one full day per week during term time. College is based at Marsh Mills, Plymouth.
