Job title: Appointed Person
Location: Scotstoun and Govan (Hybrid options available)
Salary: Up to £38,960.00 (Depending on skills and experience)
Key responsibilities:
- Comply with health and safety executives (HSE) law, develop & implement continuous improvement plans based on lessons learned from site lifting operations
- Lead the safe execution by the operations team in all lifting activities to the standard set out in LOLER and BS 7121
- Work in conjunction with the Head of Lifting Governance & Governance team to ensure the company remain compliant and within legal requirements
- Continual improvements in strategy and mind set.
- Role holder will ensure compliance standards are coordinated & embedded across all Clyde sites and shifts
Your skills and experiences:
Essentials:
- Computer-aided design (CAD) drawing
- Full trained Competent operator card (C.P.C.S.) Appointed Person A61 blue card
- Computer skills essential(Microsoft Office)
- Fully experienced in Producing lift plans
- The ability to plan, risk assess and produce method statements to a high standard
- Knowledge of lifting accessories and equipment

The Appointed Person team:
As an Appointed Person you will be responsible for the planning and safe execution of all lift and fleeting operations on BAE Systems Clyde wide sites. You will produce high quality of lifts plans and ensure they are carried out with appropriate Method statements and Risk assessment suitable to each individual lift. You will work closely and collaboratively with operators and leadership levels ensuring the company are compliant with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations LOLER, and BS 7121.
