An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ERP/Application Support to join the Myers Group IT team based at our Huddersfield Head office on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure and/or develop ERP and BI software to agreed timescales and functional specifications using the company’s available toolsets.
- Report to the Group IT Manager with respect to prioritising development projects so that they align with the requirements of the business.
- Maintain, test and deploy existing software modules and updates so that software platforms continue to meet the requirements of the business.
- Liaise with the Infrastructure Engineer where appropriate to organise the provisioning of IT resources as required by the business.
- Contribute to a proactive culture of H&S, ensuring everyone in the team complies with the Company HSE policies and procedures.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the Company from time to time, as instructed by or under the direction of your line manager.
Skills and Attributes
- IT professional educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft SQL server language (or similar) to perform bespoke queries and /or updates on ERP and other SQL Server databases.
- Proficient in database design on an RDMS platform.
- Knowledge of SQL Server maintenance (backups etc)
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload and work under pressure and to tight schedules.
- Ability to follow company policies including those relating to security.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to solve problems at source.
- Must possess excellent organisation skills and good time management.
- Must be self-driven, genuine with a positive attitude and clear focus.
- Must be sufficiently mobile and flexible to work beyond the call of duty to achieve results.
