Salary: Support Scale 5- £24,652 - £26,751 per annum pro rata inclusive of Outer London Weighting
Contract: Various, Term time Only
Recruitment Day for a Pool of Study Support Assistants
Recently confirmed as Good by Ofsted, Barnet & Southgate College provides education and training to more than 13,000 students, delivering more than 30 subjects across our state-of-the-art campuses in Barnet and Southgate, North London. Our college maintains a large and vibrant community that benefits our students in preparing them for progressing into the workplace, onto university and/or further qualifications through a broad range of full and part time courses – ultimately raising aspirations and providing greater opportunities to students of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
Ahead of the new academic year the college is looking to recruit a pool of staff who are suitably qualified and experienced Study Support Assistants who are self-motivated, and passionate about providing individualised and student-centred support, in and out of the classroom.
Successful candidates will be expected to provide support to students studying on a range of courses at different levels, with mild, moderate to complex needs across all campus’s.
Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are essential for all roles. You will hold a hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent) and must have previous experience in a support role.
