We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join the team in Aberdeen, UK to support us in various projects and operations.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join the team in Aberdeen, UK to support us in various projects and operations.
What you will be doing.
As our Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible to provide software and analytical support to the project team. Responsible for providing operational and front-line/ticket register support to the team as well as carrying out software testing, database administration/software configuration. In addition, you will:
- Carry out basic Data Analysis on Client provided Data before loading it into the software.
- Prepare/Update the software required to ensure data integrity and validation.
- Develop the final deliverable CMMS load files ensuring quality and integrity as per client specifications.
- Assist with CMMS build and data collation.
- Execute SQL queries and interrogate the results.
- Provide Data Support to Engineers including Data Extraction from drawings/datasheets.
- Offer front-line support for Internal User and Client requests and bug reports.
- Gather detailed information/requirements and liaise with Software Team.
- Collate requirements and create test cases.
- Run test cases and communicate results with Software Team.
- Set up/configure the software/database for new projects.
- Develop/utilise SQL skills to provide outputs to Engineers and upload/download data.
- Suggest/Design and create new features/functions within the Software/Database using SQL.
The roles are based in Aberdeen. THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as readiness for onshore/offshore assignments at short notice locally and globally for periods would be required.
What we are looking for.
We are looking for driven and solution-oriented professionals with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously. In addition, you:
- Have earned a college or university qualification in a relevant field.
- Acquired a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an analyst in the energy sector.
- Possess the ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Gained knowledge of Power BI, MS Access, advanced Excel formulas, SQL Language, and of executing SQL queries and interrogating the results.
- Obtained user and/or admin Level knowledge of CMMS systems
- Hold data QA/QC experience.
- Are positive and energetic and work with enthusiasm, energy and drive to achieve common goals while also suggesting new and creative approaches.
- Take a ‘can do’ approach and are prepared to have a go and make things happen, but also can admit to, own, and learn from mistakes.
- Share problems and issues with colleagues and freely ask for help and feedback to improve.
- Can prioritize and organize your workload.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
