Job description
We have a great opportunity for an Application Support Developer to join our team to deal with 1st line support tickets for diverse Line of Business systems in Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) as well as assisting with the delivery of sprint goals.
Location: You will be working in a hybrid mode, likely to be 3 days a week from the office in Dunfermline and 2 days from home, open to discussion
Your main responsibilities:
- Managing and responding to Application Support tickets for ACT / FTS and S2C in suitable timescales
- Where appropriate debugging to perform triage on tickets to reduce burden on technical resources
- Liaising with team on tickets where appropriate
- Additional involvements on Sprint deliverables based on workload
- Competency with Visual Studio IDE & .Net development technologies essential
- Competency in C# is essential
- Competency in SQL / Microsoft SSMS essensial
- Basic understanding of application architectures essential
- Understanding / experience of messaging formats (Xml / JSON) essential
- .Net Core experience / knowledge beneficial
- CI/CD experience/knowledge beneficial
- Angular experience / knowledge beneficial
- Testing / QA experience / knowledge beneficial
- Energy sector knowledge or experience highly beneficial
