Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
This is a hybrid working position with 2 days required at the Wolverhampton office and 3 days working from home.
As Application Support Developer for Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK you will be working with our software support application teams. You will be providing 2nd and 3rd line support our business customers for Software Application related issues. As well as working on projects to move away from current legacy solutions and to implement Business Intelligence tools.
Working on internal software systems running our laboratories across the UK and Ireland, you will be part of a support team and also integral part of the implementation team, working to implement new systems and improve processes. You will be working with the support team, as well as Business Analysts as part of a large and dynamic IT Solutions team.
- Handling support requests for internal business users
- Problem solving and bug fixing
- Database Querying, code writing and configuration
- Actively learning new or unfamiliar technologies
- BI Reports and development of a BI Toolset
- Project work, on developments and improvements to systems
- Working on our LIMS systems and internal tools
- Working with the business to understand requirements and problems
- Good problem solving ability
- A passion for technology
- Good communication skills
- Good IT Skills (Office, Excel, any previous programming interest would be helpful)
- Microsoft SQL Query and Scripting Experience
- Visual Basic Development Experience
