Your Role and Responsibilities
The practice provides services to support the transformation of customer applications and application development styles through application development utilising the cloud (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) and migration/modernisation of existing applications.
Cloud computing also includes middleware and application design, migration and construction services utilising container platforms.

• In system construction/application development projects, we design application architectures and study solutions in line with customers' business needs under technical constraints such as cloud computing.
• In cloud migration projects for existing IT systems, develop new applications and modernise them by utilising the latest technologies (e.g. APIs, microservices, DevOps, containers).
• Lead project/team members while supporting the project manager from a technical point of view as an application architect.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Cloud Hosting Architecture, specifically multi account hub and spoke platform patterns using AWS Transit Gateway and delivery of cross account shared Services
• Security considerations in Cloud Hosting and the Scottish Government Cloud First Principles
• Automated Cloud Provisioning
• Cloud Technical Delivery skills in Infrastructure as code delivery, AWS Services (e.g. AWS Pipeline, Cloud Formation, IAM, Transit Gateway), Terraform, Python, Ansible, Github, Jenkins, Packer, InSpec
• Cloud Integration Architecture
• You are eligible for a Security Clearance (SC) in the UK

• Cross Government data transfer, technical considerations and data
• Deep integration experience of a wide variety of integration solutions both Cloud and on premise
• Deep knowledge in technology underpinning the DWP integration solutions
• Depth of knowledge of DevOps software
