Construction Apparel Designer – Manchester, Remote also available
Salary Range: £18,000 to £24,000 pa, commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience.
Both graduate and part-time considered.

As our Apparel Designer for Dellano Andollini, you will assist the Product Development Manager in designing new ranges(tech packs), products and prints from conception through to sampling.
You are enthusiastic, creative and have a meticulous eye for detail. Ideally you have a fashion design qualification or previous experience in the mens apparel sector.
You are passionate about construction apparel market and innovation in this sector. You have a commercial eye which complements your trend awareness, both in the construction market and in the wider fashion world.
Main objectives and what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
- Assisting the Product Development Manager (PDM) in the design and development of all ranges.
- Someone to bring ideas to life via line drawings and digital designs.
- Support the PDM in the full product development process, from conception to sample sign-off.
- A good understanding of textile design, print, and technical functions.
- Immersed in the country market with an awareness of our competitors and retailers and to engage in market research, identifying emerging trends.
- You will assist in the creation of seasonal colour stories and the development of new print patterns; therefore, you will be a creative thinker with an excellent eye for colour.
- Confident and not afraid to contribute with new ideas and give honest opinions.
- Energetic, fun, and passionate team player.
- An affinity with and understanding of the construction attire, ideally including tradesmen/women.
You can demonstrate the following essential skills and/or qualifications or experience:
- Creative mindset and an eye for detail.
- Skilled in all Adobe design systems, i.e. proficient using illustrator, photoshop and InDesign.
- An understanding of fabrics, fabric techniques and outdoor performance fabric technology.
- Technical design knowledge with an understanding of fit and active garment construction.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- The ability to work well under pressure and be able to confidently manage deadlines.
- Pro-active, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK.
- At least 1 year of industry experience at a design assistant level is preferable but not essential.
- Ideally a fashion design related qualification but not essential.
Primarily based remotely, upon receiving permanent contract you will be required once a month to attend the Head Office in Manchester, Portland street, M1 3LD.
Depending on experience
Part-time: 18 hours flexible. Graduate: 6 weeks internship with option of part time after probation period.
