Responsibilities

• Lead the UK mainframe migration effort: Leading and challenging customers with clear strategic vision of digital transformation and the business possibilities through Legacy Migration to Azure including Mainframe Migration (IBM z/Series, Unisys Clearpath), and Midrange Migration (As/400, IBM iSeries, IBM pSeries) to Azure. Acting as the UK’s migration Champ for account teams.
• Deliver customer engagements: Based in 2 Kingdom Street, Paddington, you will prepare and deliver technical engagements to enterprise customers. These include strategy sessions, envisioning workshops, architecture design sessions, building of rapid prototypes, and hackathons. You take a cross-solution view to leverage capabilities across the entire Microsoft cloud platform.
• Solution design: Using your technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills and our methodology to win a customer’s technical decision to buy and use Microsoft solutions and cloud services.
• Set vision: You will use your technical knowledge to show customers an inspiring digital vision, across all Microsoft workloads, as well as deeper engagement in your core technology specialism. You will make this digital vision real using the architecture skills of you and your peers to provide a complete solution.
• Build strategy: You will map the agreed customer vision into a strategy for implementation, resolving concerns, removing technical blockers, and validating a strong business case for investment. You will work with the customer, wider account team resources and our partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation.
• An expert in Azure development: Guide business and technical decision makers on creating business value on top of the Azure and GitHub developer platform. Synthesize business and technical architecture requirements. Serve as the as the go-to technical expert in the Azure application development space with a specific focus on App Migration and Modernization, Microservice and Serverless Architecture, Container Architecture, Edge Computing and IoT, and DevOps for the regional sales teams. Design and develop industry and platform experiences and demonstrations that leverage both hardware and software to educate, illuminate and inspire customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, OR related field AND technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

• Mainframe and Midrange Partner Knowledge and Management. Strong knowledge of Mainframe (IBM z/Series, Unisys Clearpath) Migration solutions and partner ecosystem including SIs and ISV tool providers. Knowledge of Midrange (As/400, IBM iSeries, IBM pSeries) Migration solutions and partner ecosystem including SIs and ISV tool providers.
• Structured facilitator. Validated customer experience in requirements capture; prioritization; capturing evidence and impact to quantify business value; issue, risk and constraint identification
• Technical Intermediate level experience across the full range of Microsoft cloud solutions – Azure infrastructure, Azure Developer, Azure data, artificial intelligence, business applications, modern workplace and productivity, security, business applications. Demonstrated experience of solution architectures which span multiple workloads.
• Technical depth. Deep experience as a solutions architect (or equivalent), including deep practical and hands-on experience, in the area of Databases, Analytics, Internet of Things and Business Intelligence. Solid background in Machine Learning including Deep learning. One or more of AI domains: Computer vision, NLP, intelligent agents. Proficiency in architecting data migration scenarios including hybrid and pure cloud data solutions. Deep expertise in one or more of the following: Python or R for Machine Learning, Scikit-learn, Spark ML, Azure Machine Learning service, Azure Machine Learning service SDK, Microsoft ML Server, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
