Job description
The business operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, Hours are based on days, nights, morning shift patterns, 12 hour working shift patterns.Hours may involve an occasional requirement to travel and work at other business locations.The checking and processing of live animal travel documentation.The preparation/handling of live animal consignments arriving at our Airport Animal Reception Centre.The checking and issue of clearances for Recognised Assistance Dogs arriving at Gatwick Airport with their owners.Driving ‘airside’ at Gatwick Airport, as required (for insurance purposes min age 21 years and over 1-year clean driving licence)Manual Handling.Cleaning of animal kennels and Centre facilities.Assisting stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and customers, as required.Accepting and releasing shipments into and from cold storeroomsDriving electric tow tug around cargo area (not airside) to collect shipments.Manual handling of boxes i.e. fish or fruit and vegUse of pump-up trucks.Liaising with other cargo sheds regarding specific shipments of interest.Sealing trucks with controlled goods.Working closely with government agencies regarding food standards of incoming shipments.Adhering to cleaning schedules.Keeping daily temperature logs for cold storerooms.Office duties, handling emails and answering calls.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: From £23,500.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionFree parkingOn-site parkingSchedule:Day shiftNight shiftOvertimeSupplemental pay types:Yearly bonusExperience:Animal welfare: 2 years (required)Licence/Certification:driving licence (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: AACLGW005
