Amazona Zoo
Amazona Zoo is looking for a committed individual to join us as we expand our small and friendly team. Previous experience with South American species would be advantageous.
Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to, all elements of animal husbandry, enclosure maintenance, animal training, keeper talks and presentations.
We are looking for a passionate and outgoing individual, who will uphold the highest standards of animal husbandry.
The ideal applicant should have -
- DMZAA or equivalant animal related qualification
- Experience working with a range of taxa
- Full driving licence
This job will be physically demanding and require you to have a high level of fitness.
The successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, use their initiative, display an interest in and commitment to animal welfare and conservation, and must possess strong communication skills.
Our team is small so this role is both fulfilling and challenging, the role involves working on a 5 out of 7 day rota on an average 40 hour week, including weekends and bank holidays.
