Lake District Wildlife Park
The Lake District Wildlife Park is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated team player to join our keeper team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about wildlife and the environment and wants to share this enthusiasm with others.
You will be directly responsible for the day to day and long term care of a variety of animal species including reptiles, birds and primates.
presenting talks, providing animal encounters and regular interaction with our visitors is an essential part of this role.
We are looking for someone with:
- 3 years of experience of working in an animal related environment.
- A broad range of experience of animal husbandry including reptiles, Birds, primates.
- An ability to demonstrate sound husbandry practices to deliver a high level of care
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team
- The ability to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Maintenance and enclosure refurbishment skills
- Initiative to continually strive towards improving the Park
- DMZAA or equivalent qualification
Full time 40hrs per week
28 paid days holiday per year
Salary £20,800
