The Healthcare and Animal Science faculty have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious person to join our team as an animal care technician. This role acts as curriculum support for a busy vocational area of Nottingham College.
The successful candidate will have effective organisational ability and excellent communication skills working with both students and staff. Key roles include daily care and husbandry of the animals in the unit, preparing for and delivering practical based lessons each week, preparing animals and equipment for practical assessments, writing risk assessments, keeping animal records up to date and ordering, tracking and taking delivery of animal resources orders.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the animal industry with a range of small mammals and exotic species.
