HSDC is seeking to appoint a reliable and caring Technician at our South Downs Campus to work as part of the Animal Care team within the College’s Animal Unit.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will undertake routine animal husbandry tasks with a range of animals, to uphold high standards of animal welfare. You will be required to work flexibly as part of the technician team with the Science Department and supporting the wider animal care team. You will be required to instruct groups of students alongside other technicians in practical sessions.
The post holder will hold a Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Animal Care/Management, experience working with a range of animals including exotics, companion and domestic species in commercial environment and have good communication skills. A current UK driving licence and car is essential as you will be required to transport animals to and from the vets. There may be an opportunity to work extra hours to cover staff holidays and hours may include bank holidays, College closure days and weekends.
