At Charlie Paws our team works all over Wiltshire providing high standard pet services at competitive rates, with flexible times to suit our clients. We offer a range of services from dog walking, dog daycare, house visits for puppies, cats and small furies, equine, small holdings, house sitting and much more

All our staff are trained in dog first aid, Emergency Canine Care

we are a close team, and we are looking for someone that shares our passion for animal care as well as fits in.

Job description

Working within our day care lodge based in Shaw Melksham. Candidates are requires to hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to transport dogs within their own car. The car must be suitable for dogs. Candidates are to have knowledge and previous experience when it comes to working with animals especially dogs. A good understanding of dog behaviour and language would be required. We are looking at hiring two people for our PM shift. the position is part time and will be 2pm to 6pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drop off dogs to their homes. (if applicable)

Ensure security of their homes when entering and leaving.

Understand special requests and conditions for each dog

Being with dogs outdoors in all weather conditions, all year round.

Transport dogs safely to and from their homes in your own vehicle (if applicable)

Give each dog love, care and attention

walking and playing with the dogs

creating stimulating play

use imitative and be able to complete tasks without being prompted

Ensure safety of the dogs you are working with and those (humans and dogs) around you

Remove pet waste, and cleaning the dog areas.

Able to control a group of dogs safely.

Provide house visits for small animals such as cats, rabbits, chickens etc

Take photos of the pets for social media.

Communicate with clients and schedule own diary.

Meet with new clients and conduct consultations to fill in registration forms.

Maintaining the Charlie Paws brand and following all policies and procedures.

Work as a team covering other team members when required.

SKILLS NEEDED:

worked with dogs in the past and have a good knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and communication.

Must have own car / van and able to transport dogs in. .

Must have own mobile phone with ability to take photos and send regular updates to team and clients.

Live locally to the area

Be passionate and caring towards all animals.

Good communications skills

Great time keeping

Friendly and approachable.

PROVIDED FOR YOU:

Full training in role including attending dog first aid training

Uniform

Manager will do all accounts, invoicing and support in tax returns.

Full job kit including first aid kit, leads, bowls, water containers etc

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.42 per hour
