Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an Anesthesia Technician 1 to join our Anesthesia team. This role will be full-time, Monday-Friday 10:30a - 6:30p.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist for routine/complex cases and procedures to ensure quality of patient care.
- Maintain stock levels per template.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. Also will assist in preparation and draping of the patient for invasive monitoring procedures by the anesthesia care provider.
- Prepares and assembles all necessary supplies and equipment for auto-transfusion and rapid infusion under the direction of the anesthesia provider. Maintains quality control records, cart inventories and audits per OSHA and TJC standards and hospital policies.
- Assists with the correct application of monitoring devices. Manages fluid and blood/blood product administration.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Must have 6 months - one year in a Clinical Environment
- Must possess BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Good communication skills are also necessary – must be proficient in English
- Must have the ability to solve problems in high-pressure situations
- Must have solid computer and mechanical/electronic skills
