Description
Role purpose:
The Data Service Lead will be accountable for delivery of technologies by Vodafone in order to service data across Public Cloud Data Oceans or Data Lakes. The Data Service Lead drives data literacy and provides business assurances of compliance to Data Security, Data Retention.
The lead will work closely with delivery teams (e.g. Cloud Platform Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Owners) on day to day basis to understand requirements and supporting delivery & PoCs.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Maintains strong understanding of the capabilities, and architecture landscape of Voafone Public Cloud (GCP)
- Own the overall solution data service strategy for interworking tools and onboarding
- Owns the metadata model and changes to keep consistency in the definitions of data.
- Line manages, guides, coaches & develops the team of developers and testers
- Strong alignment with architecture, platform, and delivery teams
Key performance indicators:
- Onboarding new projects into the tooling available
- Drive efficiency in terms of operated cost
- Increase of delivery cadence
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Extensive practical experience of implementing enterprise cataloguing capabilities
- Extensive knowledge cloud solutions (GCP)
- Able to communicate and influence effectively across a rangeof technology stakeholders at the highest level e.g. C level at Group and Markets level
- Experience in working Safe Agile delivery framework.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Leading SAFE
- Any Product Management certification
