Reports to: Digital Analytics Lead
Type of position: Full-time

The Opportunity
The Digital Analytics Consultant is a full-time opportunity reporting to the new Strategy and Insights team. Based in Toronto, the Digital Analytics Consultant will be accountable for driving a deeper understanding of our customer’s digital experience among McDonald’s Canada decision-makers by mining our clickstream and point-of-sale data sources to create compelling insight reports and presentations. The Digital Analytics Consultant will work closely with marketing and technology leads to define analytics requirements and identify opportunities for integrating analytics into internal decision-making processes and the digital experience.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Partner with internal clients to understand business priorities and translate needs into analytics project requirements. Provide actionable insights and predictive models that guide strategic decision-making.
  • Co-ordinate with global data science teams and external partners to design and deliver customer-centric analytics products and solutions such as CLV segmentation and AHP models.
  • Leverage clickstream data and advanced analytical techniques to develop strong understanding of digital customer segments and trends with accuracy and credibility.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports and forecasts to update leadership and decision makers on strategy performance and impact to financial results.
  • Support data governance initiatives, including documenting technical and business definitions of KPIs and data sources used in strategic plans and performance reporting.

Qualifications
  • The Experience: Demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, digital product, or business intelligence-type role
  • The Education: University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Technology: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL. Experience with digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Amplitude) and CDPs (mParticle). Experience with BI platforms and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc)
  • Communication Skills: Strong communicator and data storyteller with the ability to explain complex analytics in a clear and compelling format
  • Flexibility: Self-starter and organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
