In this role you will…

The role reports into the Director – Treasury Dealing, and primarily provides analytical and technical support to the Treasury Dealing team. The Analyst – Treasury Dealing role is a key interface between Haleon and external financial markets. You will be part of the Treasury Front Office team who are accountable for dealing all of the group’s financial market transactions including foreign exchange (FX), investment management, commercial paper, intercompany funding, interest rates, commodities and other derivatives. The role will have a day-to-day contact with the group’s banks and local operating companies.

An understanding of the financial markets, including how global trends impact hedging strategies, is necessary to perform the role.

• Comfortable utilising trading platforms such as Bloomberg and working across Treasury management Systems (such as FIS Quantum).

What do we expect from you:

• Execution of Treasury dealing activity including, but not limited to, FX transactions (Spot & forward FX and currency swaps), intra-group funding including loans, money market transactions, issuance of commercial paper and term deposits.

• Supporting the Managers–in commodities and interest rates execution.

• Manage the daily Cash and all the FX exposures arising in In-House Cash (IHC). This will require analysis of forecast cashflows to propose and then execute required FX deals

• Represent the Dealing Team on projects and externally vis-à-vis the banks or other suppliers (e.g. FIS).

• Develop and maintain good external relationships with the group’s Global Relationship Banks (GRBs).

• Dealing all transactions in accordance with Treasury policies, with approved counterparties and within approved limits

• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the department, initiating and implementing improvements when identified

• Be aware of changes in financial regulations and the impact changes may have on dealing activities

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Advanced degree level education (University graduate or equivalent - Finance/ Trading / Economics)

• Financial qualification or qualified by experience (eg: CGMA, ACCA, AMCT/MCT, CFA)

• Experience in FX trading. Please note FX dealing is a complex and critical aspect of the dealing team’s responsibilities

• Experience of cash management in Treasury or a Financial institution. This role will need a good understanding of investment management and of raising short-term commercial paper

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to confidently articulate complex solutions

• Proficient in Bloomberg and Excel.
