Summary:
A wide-ranging role encompassing real estate investment underwriting, transaction management, and origination across a diverse range of commercial sectors. We are looking to add an Analyst to join our fast-growing business as our first strategic hire, to be involved in all aspects of the business and investment processes. This will be a core member of the team as the business enters a phase of growth, with excellent prospects for career development and progression.
Responsibilities to include:
- Investment underwriting including the production of financial models and analysis of potential returns
- Production of collateral materials / presentations in PowerPoint
- Bid decks
- Transaction summaries
- Proposals for approval by the investment committee
- Transaction management; assist with the acquisition processes from origination to completion. The role will involve:
- Inspection of assets
- Instruction, coordination and liaison of third-party advisors and lawyers
- Review and critique of third-party due diligence reports
- Underwriting of real estate valuations
- Underwriting of operational, real estate backed business P&Ls (e.g. hotels, healthcare, leisure)
- Liaising with counterparties and their advisors
- Origination of new deals:
- Supporting deal sourcing and structuring of new deals
- Interfacing with operators, owners, and agents
Candidate requirements:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience within real estate, finance, investment banking, or private equity
- Must have experience analysing and modelling complex deals and financial structures including leverage
- Strong financial modelling skills in Excel
- Solid presentational skills including experience creating professional PowerPoint presentations from scratch
- Basic knowledge of property and UK property law preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- A strong interest in real estate investment, fixed income and alternative structures
- Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Entrepreneurial mind-set
- Ideally a graduate of a real estate, finance, or economics related degree. Exceptional graduates from an engineering or science background will also be considered.
- Existing network of advisors and brokers preferred but not mandatory
